Know When to Do It Yourself: From The Top Burbank Realtor

A Realtor will tell you to do some home improvements yourself but not all.

For simple tasks like mowing a lawn or painting fences, do this yourself; Reserve bigger jobs, like anything that requires a ladder, to professionals.

Be the contractor and hire the tradesmen yourself with 2-3 people jobs but if it requires a whole crew, a contractor’s network would be best.

Contribute some labor like in preparation but know when to let the professionals take over. Do other small labor tasks at night so you don’t get in the way.

You can do finishing jobs like painting and attaching trims if you have the skill and temperament but these have obvious results so make sure you have a steady hand and good eye.
