Before you let your Burbank Realtor put up a great ad about your rental property, incorporate the
elements of a “green property” through these steps:
1. Environmental Friendly. Proper waste disposal and reusing materials.
2. For serious or a major projects, consider hiring green professionals.
3. Use materials that are Greenguard Environmental Institute certified when remodeling
4. Remodel the kitchen. Think green and find alternatives that will benefit you and will reduce stress and hazards around the house. For instance, buying Energy Star graded
appliances and using a water filter instead of bottled water.
5. Remodel the bathroom. Look for materials that are environmental friendly. For example,
use recycled tiles and flow reducers for the faucets.
6. Don’t add rooms that are not needed. If such is needed, design the room so that it becomes
eco-friendly.
Tenants appreciate a home that is safe and cozy to live in. Check with the Realtor and tell
him to add that “green factor” when scouting for tenants.
